Evelyn's Elegant Orange Table

Evelyn found this great coffee table at the Flowood Flea Market.  She had made some beautiful floral pillows for her daughter's dorm room and wanted to make the table to match.  Evelyn first gave it a coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Barcelona Orange. To make it a little distressed she took a rag and rubbed off some of the orange to show the wood a little.

Then her daughter made photos of each flower on the pillow. We got them  printed 8 x 10 at Walgreen's. We then traced the images with tracing paper and then transferred them to the table with graphite paper.

Then each flower was carefully painted with acrylic paints.

They were a little bright so Evelyn used an antique glaze to give just the right look. She then finished with a coat of clear. It just came out gorgeous! A lot of work but certainly worth the effort. A flea market find turned into a masterpiece!

Not a clear photo but you can see the pillow in back and how cute it looks in Madison's dorm room!!

The table just makes it!!
