We just love Chalk Paint!

Now that the weather is getting nice everyone wants to paint anytime it is not raining. This week we painted on Friday and Saturday.
(Trying to beat the rain that is coming in today.)

The cabinet below is one Helen found at the 49 South Flea Market on our last trip. It is a piece called a Dry Sink. It was solid maple and probably from the 70's, I would guess.

We gave it a coat of Old White in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and the door panels got Country Grey. The top had a copper metal liner. It was a little rough and copper cleaner just didn't do the trick so we spray painted it with Rustoleum Metallic paint in Hammered Copper.

We found these devine knobs at Hobby Lobby. Love them!

The Emperor's silk inside and accents along the top just do the trick.

It got clear and dark wax and a few touches of copper gilding wax.
She plans to use it in her kitchen for her drink station.
We just love how it turned out! One of our favorites so far.

Here is the almost before, We had already done some sanding before I remembered the shot!

Pam finished up the horse tool box.

It was painted with ASCP in Coco with clear and dark wax. It has a little plate on the from which she plans to get monogrammed. Cute!

This is the cute telephone table Pam bought at the 49 South Flea Market. It was dark pine. Didn't get a before shot of this one. Pam painted the outside with French Linen and the inside with Graphite. She plans to use it for her fax machine in her husband's office. Paper storage underneath! Great!

The trunk was another Goodwill find. $20

Helen painted it in ASCP in Versailles. It is a great size and has wonderful storage. Helen did a great job.

As we were finishing up painting on Saturday, Helen's husband, Mark, brought us over delicious smoked brisket and chicken breasts. He cooks delicious meats that would be great for tailgaiting or other gatherings. We added a salad and had a scrumptious lunch! Thanks Mark!

We had several other items that are in progress. Hope to finish up those this week. Thanks for visiting.

Spring is here with lots of finished projects!

This is the project I sneak peeked for you a few weeks ago. It was a mirror tha Helen and I had bought two for $15 each. One went in Betsy's Condo. The other had a mishap! I broke it, seven year's bad luck......good thing I am not superstitious!
I  Bob cut a piece of masonite for me to put in place of the mirror. I painted it with ASCP in Graphite. The rest of the mirror frame was painted Paris Grey with Silver Gilding wax.

I went to Office Depot and got some large push pins. Rubbed on the gilding wax and hung it in my closet. Makes a great place to sit  and get going!!

Below it is the vanity stool I painted and upholstered a while back.

I just love it!!

Finally finished this one, too! I also did not get a before picture, but this was a cabinet from the Day care that Melanie got when they were changing out furniture. It was just light pine wood.

I used a trick I found on Pinterest to replace the new hardware. Just copy the handle or hindge and mark the holes for drilling!

She wanted it transformed to her sewing machine cabinet. So I added a shelf.

In place in her Sewing/Playroom!!

She will have room for some other baskets and sewing items. So glad she loved it and waited patiently for me to finish this project!!

The patio is beginning to look Springy! We are making progress on all the junk treasures out there! So I can get rid of the pollen and get it cleaned off!

This was a sports thingy Helen had. I painted it with Graphite to use for a chalkboard. Color is Florence. This item is for sale if anyone is interested. Just reply to this message if you're interested! Would be great to organize backpacks with kids names above!

Finished up these items from a few weeks back.

Another tv stand painted with ASCP in Chateau Grey. This got clear and dark wax after I photographed it.

Thanks for visiting. I have several more projects in the works.

Another Goodwill FInd!

I just love to go to Goodwill! Especially when I(we) find such a great bargain! Helen and I ran down there last week and found this really nice tv/entertainment center. I once again, did not get a before photo! We always get so anxious to paint!

We painted the body in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Grey then added Country Grey on the door panels!

Inside it had lots of shelves for storing video games, etc. We decided not to paint the inside because the doors  opened and scraped the bottom. We figured it would just rub off the paint. It is for her son Austin's apartment this summer.

A new painter, Holly, joined us and learned to paint with chalk paint.
She painted a small table in Versaille. Great job!!

As Bob was outside one afternoon he was visited by a neighborhood cat. He just made himself at home, sitting on a mirror I had in progress out on the porch!

Thanks for visiting. Plan to do another post today!!
