Another Goodwill FInd!

I just love to go to Goodwill! Especially when I(we) find such a great bargain! Helen and I ran down there last week and found this really nice tv/entertainment center. I once again, did not get a before photo! We always get so anxious to paint!

We painted the body in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Grey then added Country Grey on the door panels!

Inside it had lots of shelves for storing video games, etc. We decided not to paint the inside because the doors  opened and scraped the bottom. We figured it would just rub off the paint. It is for her son Austin's apartment this summer.

A new painter, Holly, joined us and learned to paint with chalk paint.
She painted a small table in Versaille. Great job!!

As Bob was outside one afternoon he was visited by a neighborhood cat. He just made himself at home, sitting on a mirror I had in progress out on the porch!

Thanks for visiting. Plan to do another post today!!

March goes out like a lamb

On Friday we made some really good progress on the pile of "treasures" on my back porch. Pam and Helen came to paint at 8:30. We made a quick run to Goodwill to see if there were any new finds. Then we began painting.

Helen found this sturdy tv tray.

A flea market find by Helen.

Wood table of my mom's. I have two of these nearly alike. One from Bob's mother and one from mine. This one had a beautiful finish,
but I still decided to paint it.

Found this little basket at GW.

Pam has been working on this umbrella stand since last fall. The spindles are time consuming and Pam is a perfectionist! Her work is beautiful!

Found this wastebasket this week at GW.  .. . . .$3.

GW . . . . . . $1.25

Some sort of horse grooming toolbox. Pam found this on one of
our outings. It is for Gay!

Here are the things we finished!
The table was painted Country Grey with a little dark wax. The basket was painted with Coco and Provence dry brushed on top. (took it right inside and put my napkins in it!)

I decided to do the finish on the table the same as I did that jewelry box.
Bronze acrylic paint on top, Annie Sloan Chalk paint in French Linen with clear and dark wax.

Helen's table got Annie Sloan Paris Grey and Old White on top.
Touches of dark wax and Gold gilding wax finished it off!

These are our PIPS....projects in progress. We got several of the items painted, now they are ready for wax and finishing touches
.(Helen and Pam are holding up the beach towel for our background)

I think we slipped in a couple of items that I did not get BEFORE pics.
Also, look at our great workbench. I asked for sawhorses for my birthday and Bob came through! We got two boards for the top. It can easily be taken down and put away!

I just love my Stanley Plastic Sawhorses!
They are light, adjustable and easily put away!

Here is a sneak peak of another project I have in progress! I hope you enjoyed! I love comments! Look below and find the word "Comment", click on it and tell me what you think!

I know the lady would want this back.............

You remember the small cabinet I got for 5 dollars, don't you? Well, here it is all dressed up! I had so much fun making it into something really cute. I used Paris grey and Old white for doors and edges. Then I gave it a little dark wax to give it an aged look.

Then, to dress it up.... Florence was the perfect color
for the inside! My oh my!

Remember one of the knobs was missing? I found these in my collection of odd handles and knobs. Perfection.

Bob and I went "Goodwill Hunting" on Friday. (Stole that from the Nate show:) We were on the lookout for wooden salt & pepper shakers after seeing some really cute painted ones on Pinterest.
Found two sets, one at Goodwill and one at Odds and Ends (another of my favorite resale stores)I have some ideas for the shelf with hearts...I can always use more storage for my paints or scrappin' stuff.

I think this is a make-up holder. Thought I might paint it up for Camille or let her come and paint it. I think the other little cabinet is for jewelry. It is painted pretty cute, but knowing me I will have to repaint it!

And, here are those adorable S & P shakers. Just love the crank.

Here is my cabinet with the Florence painted accessories! I think this might be a great item to take to the river. It has that cottage look I think we are going for.

I plan to put this in my car this week and show it to my neighbor I bought it from. But she can't have it back! Hope you love my projects. Thank you for visiting. Comment below if you can.
I worked on several projects today. Hope to share with you soon.
