After all....it is Football Season!

I found this cute little children's table and chair set at my favorite spot, Goodwill.

I contacted my friend, Lynn, who has 19, yes, nineteen grandchildren!
I thought she might have a use for it. She did!

She gave me pretty much free reign in painting it.
I knew they were also Bama fans so I fixed it right up.

Here is the before picture. I suspect it had been handmade by loving grandparents.
Noah's arc was the decor. It is very sturdy and well made and
will definitely survive 19 grands!

As you can tell, I had fun with this project. I used my favorite paint, Annie Sloan Chalk paint in Emperor's silk and Pure White. I used chalkboard
 paint for the top.

Again, I am glad to be back. Thanks for visiting. I love comments.
You should find a place to post them below.

It's me Again!

I miss blogging. I just abandoned this place for more than two years. But now it's time to resume my posts. I consider myself a "jack of all trades." I like to try new things and continue to learn new skills. Here I will share my adventures, successful or unsuccessful. Currently I knit, paint furniture and do all sorts of crafty things with my Silhouette Cameo. Please follow me on my crafty journey. You are welcome to share my posts with your friends and comment or ask questions for more information. Thanks for visiting.

This ring dish is decorated with gold glitter vinyl I cut with my Cameo. I am learning all sorts of things I can decorate with my Cameo.

For this first new post I am going to send links to all by friends. If you will sign up on the Follow by email link then you will receive posts as they are posted. If you do not wish to follow then do nothing. I will remove you from my list.

Made it Beachy!

I had fun adding some beachiness to my bathroom!
Camille helped with the printer's tray.

Bob's photos got Beachy frames.

A Goodwill shelf got a coat of Annie Sloan Chalk paint
 in Old White.

Painted some signs using the Paint, Vinyl, Paint,
Peel technique. Love this!

My mom's painting finally got hung after repainting  the frame.
I just love this now. I went from nothing on the walls
 totally
Beachy!

Thanks for stopping by. Looking forward to resuming our
Scrapping and painting classes in September.

June.....back to painting and scrapping!

So happy to be back painting and scrappin'.
The wedding was just beautiful and everything went smoothly. It could not have been more perfect!
This past week we scrapped on Wednesday and painted on Friday.
After checking out Goodwill at 8:30 we headed to Jackson to the Old House Depot. It is an architectural salvage shop with tons of really neat goodies.

They had some nice rhubarb growing outside!

Then, since we were driving by, we had to stop at Paint and pick up some chalk paint. We were out of wax and Paris Grey. Love this shop!

Helen loved this cute litle teapot since she's in to tea.
Pam as a Price is Right model!

As you can see I was ready to paint, no make-up, nada.

Finally we got home.
Here is the stuff we planned to paint.

But first, we had to have some lunch. Pam and Helen treated Bob and I to Mexican from the new restaurant that moved into where the Haughty Pig used to be. It was so delicious. Fresh cooked tacos with a slice of avocado on top. Yum! I highly recommend it!

Then it was time to paint. It seemed to be a blue day.

Helen's tray looks so cute now with Emile ASCP.

Pam painted this cute humidor in Florence ASCP.
I cut the stencil with my Cameo. It is so cute!

Helen's jewelry box got Provence (my favorite)

And our Scrap projects:
Another invitation that Helen will put in a shadow box frame for a gift.

Pam did a great job on William's birth announcement.

Another gift. Really cute.

Looking forward to more scrapping this week. With all this rain not sure we can paint. Thanks for visiting.

Feels like Spring!

What a beauful spring-like day it was. We were able to paint
 outside and it was wonderful!

This little table was so cute.
I couldn't resist adding some yellow springy flowers.
I painted it with a mix of Graphite and Old white.
The top is a little lighter mix than the legs.

Here it is before.
It was a solid pine folding table I found at Goodwill for $4.

See how cute it is folded up. I plan to keep it in my car for when we go on photo shoots. Never know when you might need a spot to sit something.
This was Judy's chalkboard/bulletin board before.
Helen's small cabinet before. Found this at Goodwill too!

And Judy's board after. Painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in  Primer Red with a touch of Gold.

And here's my table all folded up. Just love it!

Helen's cabinet came out so cute. We painted the outside in Chateau Grey with Old White on the doors and Paloma inside and on the doors. Finished with clear and a touch of dark wax.

It will be the perfect spot for her teas!

So glad we can begin painting outside again. We are supposed to have some stormy weather this afternoon, tho.
We also did some scrapping last night but my pictures did not come out very well. Watch for more painting projects soon!
Thanks for visiting!

The Rebel Table

Last week Holly came with this cute table. She had acquired it from her neighbor who made the bases and added old doors on top. (She only got the base already painted red) She had her bf cut wood for the top and then gave it a coat of Old White ASCP. Then added the blue acrylic paint for our background.
She had found this poster on Pinterest.

I used my trusty Cricut to copy it and cut a stencil for the design.

It came out so cute and will be just awesome in her daughter's apt in Oxford!

I don't have a good photo of the whole thing as we finished it up at night and inside. But it is cute. It was labor intensive and took a lot of patience. Good thing Holly helped!
Thanks for stopping by. I will be finishing up that "miracle" table today so watch for a post soon!
