June.....back to painting and scrapping!

So happy to be back painting and scrappin'.
The wedding was just beautiful and everything went smoothly. It could not have been more perfect!
This past week we scrapped on Wednesday and painted on Friday.
After checking out Goodwill at 8:30 we headed to Jackson to the Old House Depot. It is an architectural salvage shop with tons of really neat goodies.

They had some nice rhubarb growing outside!

Then, since we were driving by, we had to stop at Paint and pick up some chalk paint. We were out of wax and Paris Grey. Love this shop!

Helen loved this cute litle teapot since she's in to tea.
Pam as a Price is Right model!

As you can see I was ready to paint, no make-up, nada.

Finally we got home.
Here is the stuff we planned to paint.

But first, we had to have some lunch. Pam and Helen treated Bob and I to Mexican from the new restaurant that moved into where the Haughty Pig used to be. It was so delicious. Fresh cooked tacos with a slice of avocado on top. Yum! I highly recommend it!

Then it was time to paint. It seemed to be a blue day.

Helen's tray looks so cute now with Emile ASCP.

Pam painted this cute humidor in Florence ASCP.
I cut the stencil with my Cameo. It is so cute!

Helen's jewelry box got Provence (my favorite)

And our Scrap projects:
Another invitation that Helen will put in a shadow box frame for a gift.

Pam did a great job on William's birth announcement.

Another gift. Really cute.

Looking forward to more scrapping this week. With all this rain not sure we can paint. Thanks for visiting.

Blog winner and painting

I was unable to make and post the blog drawing yesterday because we were driving to St. Petersburg, Florida. Decided to come visit Betsy and Josh for a few days.We are here now and it's time to draw. Thanks to those who entered. Only 6 people replied and were entered. Ta da..... The winner of the file drawer set is: Rita Hancock!!! Just contact me and I will get it painted in the colors you want and get them delivered! Thanks for entering! Yea Rita!!

We had a good time painting on Wednesday. Pam finally finished up the sewing chest. It is so pretty!
We added a few gold touches.

To line the small drawer ,we found the perfect piece of scrapbook
Paper with scissors on it!
Judy painted this tray with Duck Egg blue and added a few gold touches with gilding wax.

Pam also painted her "r" for her front door. It is Primer Red in ASCP.

My friend Sharon sent me pictures of the things we painted after she got them in her home. Those chairs are awesome!

Remember the stereo cabinet?

Look at it now in her bathroom, Wow, is that cute or what? Now everyone will be
on the lookout for one!
Thanks for visiting. In the future Be on the lookout for a Blog Giveaway!

Here was our first sunset from Betsy's backyard! Bob is going to have a field day here. Betsy says the birds come to this pond and hang out all the time!

I will try to share a few more pictures while we are here. I forgot my real camera but maybe Bob will share some of his with me!

It's wedding time!

Everyone is getting lots of wedding invitations....it's that time of year! Pam came up with this idea a while back. We used scrapbook paper and other embellishements. She gets a shadowbox frame at Michael's to put them in. Makes a great wedding gift!
This wasn't a gift but a frame Holly painted with Chalk paint. She'd printed out this quote and added the some leaf die cuts leftover from Pam's project.
Really cute!

Here is Helen's version for one invitation she received. Love the color and papers.

Another one!

Evelyn scrapped this week and did some more of Madison's
 school day keepsakes.

A recent trip to the "Big Easy".

Another gift. One of Helen's Bunko group friends is moving to Atlanta. Helen made her a gift which she will put in a frame. We went to Michael's to get the shadowbox frames and a frame for this one yesterday. They were all 50% off. Such a good deal and an inexpensive gift!

Another reminder about the Giveaway. I only have three entrants.
If you will check your email where I sent the link to the post I made on Tuesday and just click "Reply" and say "I want to be entered in the giveaway." you will be entered. Drawing will be one week from today!
Thanks for reading.

Using my Cameo to get organized!

Spring cleaning is on my agenda. Our closet is a mess so I decided to begin there. I had this drawer unit where I kept pjs, etc. I decided if I had labels on them I would more likely put things away, rather than toss them on the stool!
I set up the cut files for my Cameo. I simply typed the names, got them the right size and began cutting. I used some vinyl I had gotten at Hobby Lobby.
This process is called "weeding" when you peel away the background and leave just the part you want to have as a sticker.
This next step is very important when working with vinyl. Cover with Transfer tape. If you don't and try to peel off the letters and get them straight, oh my, impossible!
Then place on the drawers and peel off transfer tape.

Now my new labeled drawers. And in the order of importance!!
This was so easy and hopefully now I will be a little better organized. If anyone wants some words cut for their organizing projects, just let me know. I'll be happy to cut some for you.
I saw another idea last night on Pinterest using Freezer Paper. I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for reading my blog.  Remember the Giveaway I mentioned in yesterday's post. I have only 3 entrants so far.

Blog Giveaway.......File drawers

Metal Card Catalog File drawers are industrial 'chic' these days. Each unit has two drawers. I painted these in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg and French Linen. The Drawers are in Old White.

These two sets I spray painted with Valspar paint.
This paint covers well and comes in
tons of colors. I usually find mine at Lowe's.

I painted one set and put in my scraproom.
They make a great place for notecards.

They will also hold 4 x 6 photos or recipes.

Anyway, as the photo above states, I am so ready to get these out of my garage!

Anyway, I am ready. So I will have a giveaway! If you reply to my email sending you the link to this post you, will be entered into a drawing. I will draw a name on Friday, April 18th and one lucky winner will win a set of drawers all painted in your choice of colors! (Since my comment section is not working this is the way I have to do it.)

Good luck and thanks for reading my blog!
You are welcome share this post with some of your friends.
